... even within the US military. From the Corriere della Sera's English language edition we have this story. In brief, it concerns the death of an Italian secret service agent who was shot by American troops in Iraq - the allocation of responsability being disputed by the Italians and Americans - and the subsequent offical report prepared by the Americans. Said report was issued in Acrobat format with classified details blacked out. However, a simple copy and paste operation renders these classified details perfectly legible.
Incidentally, the Corriere story, despite being in English, follows the rather confusing Italian style of reporting and appears weird to the Anglophonic brain. Personally, I find reading Italian papers quite annoying (and occasionally complex) due to their unusual way of writing news reports.
