Commenting on 2 Corinthians 11.22 and Philippians 3.5f. Rawlinson writes: "St. Paul's emphatic claim in Philippians 3.5 and 2 Corinthians 11.22, to be a Hebrew suggests that his opponents had attempted to deny his affinities with Aramaic speaking Judaism and rank him exclusively as a Hellenist."
