An Ecclesiology Quiz!

Who'd have thought it? A quiz based on Dulles's Models of the Church that I found here.
You scored as Sacrament model. Your model of the church is Sacrament. The church is the effective sign of the revelation that is the person of Jesus Christ. Christians are transformed by Christ and then become a beacon of Christ wherever they go. This model has a remarkable capacity for integrating other models of the church.

What is your model of the church? [Dulles]

That's about right - in my opinion, Lumen Gentium's highlighting of the Sacramental nature of the Church is one of the most useful theological ideas I've ever come across.

My Nightstand...

... because everyone's doing it.

My nightstand is to the right of my bed. I prefer to sleep with my bed pushed up against the wall - it makes for one less decision when one wakes up in the morning.

Anyway, on the nightstand is:
1. A radio alarm clock
2. A small San Damiano cross
3. Little notes to myself, coins, bus tickets
4. The Imitation of Christ (I freely admit that I don't actually read it as much as I should - the edition I have has some wonderful 1950s illustrations, by the way)
5. My wristwatch and spectacles

I don't keep much stuff on my nightstand - my books I keep piled on the floor (or occasionally on my bookcases) and most of my knick-knacks are on my desk.

The next time a 'Harry Potter' is released...

(she is writing another, isn't she?)
... I should try and get the the front of the all-night get-the-first-copy-queue outside a bookstore, dash in when they open the doors and very blatantly buy something completely different. That would be fun.

Being in a state of rustication...

... whilst busily employed in trying to convert aqua fortis into nitric acid and having only dial-up access, I apologise for the lack of posts.

God bless,

Zadok.

A reply...

Whereas, having been challenged by one Cnytr to a contest,
And notwithstanding my objections in principle to entering into a wager with a Lady,
For I am obligated to count her no longer a Lady due to her repeated impudence,
I, Zadok the Roman, take up the proverbial gauntlet,
Due to the divers manifestations of disrespect against my person on behalf of said Cnytr,
To wit:
Accurate, but inopportune, criticisms of Zadok’s elocution, countenance and deportment,
Grievous imitation and mockery,
An unwillingness to discuss ecclesiology,
Repeated attempts to deride Zadok’s unique sense of sartorial style,
And generalised lack of regard for Zadok’s august personage,

I accept her challenge and pending negotiation of terms,
I say, ‘Bring it on!’
